Tapia and Coello keep rolling

The world No 1s were never troubled by sixth seeds Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal, winning 6-2 6-2 to reach the last four without dropping a set in three matches. They have now conceded just 14 games in three matches in Milan, according to the official results.

Their semi-final opponents earned their place in the afternoon. Fourth seeds Stupaczuk and Sanz beat Momo González and Lucas Campagnolo 6-3 6-4, also without dropping a set in Milan so far.

Third meeting in three tournaments

Saturday's men's semi-final is becoming the rivalry of the autumn. Stupaczuk and Sanz reached their first Premier Padel final as a pair in Rotterdam, where Tapia and Coello beat them 6-3 6-2, and met them again in the final in Düsseldorf a week later, where the Spanish-Argentine pair won in straight sets once more. Milan offers them a third attempt — this time one round earlier.

A Rome rematch in the women's draw

In the women's event, third seeds Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero beat eighth seeds Ale Salazar and Aranzazu Osoro 6-4 6-3. Their reward is a meeting with Triay and Brea, who opened the day by beating Jimena Velasco and Raquel Eugenio 6-2 7-6(4).

The two pairs met in the final of the Italy Major in Rome in June, when Triay and Brea won 6-1 7-5 to end a run of lost finals, the International Padel Federation reported. Sánchez and Ustero answered later in the season by winning the Paris Major in September — their first Major together — so the Milan semi-final pits the season's two Major-winning women's teams against each other.

Still to come on Friday night

  • Men: second seeds Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto against Gonza Alfonso and Tino Libaak, then third seeds Juan Lebrón and Leo Augsburger against Javi Garrido and Juani De Pascual, the pair who knocked out Navarro and Di Nenno.
  • Women: Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo against Sofía Araújo and Marta Ortega, and Claudia Jensen and Tamara Icardo against second seeds Paula Josemaría and Bea González.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday 17 October from 14:00 local time, with the finals on Sunday. Results update live on our Milano P1 page and feed into the padel rankings. For the season context, read our men's and women's 2026 season reviews.
