1. Overview
TiebreakNews ("we", "our", the "Site", accessible at tiebreaknews.com) is a free live tennis scores website. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the Site, by whom, and the choices you have. We do not require an account and we do not ask you for personal information to use the Site.
2. Data we process
- Theme preference — your light/dark mode choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device.
- Server logs — like most websites, our hosting server may record standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the Site running. These logs are kept only as long as necessary.
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We display advertising served by Google AdSense to keep the Site free. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.
Where required (for example in the European Economic Area or the UK), a consent message is shown before personalised ads are served, and non-personalised ads may be shown instead if you decline.
4. Third-party content and data
Live scores, rankings and calendar data are retrieved from third-party sports data services. News headlines open their original publisher's page inside a viewer; those pages are governed by the publisher's own privacy policy. External links are provided for convenience — we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.
5. Cookies — your choices
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not prevent you from using TiebreakNews; it may only affect ad personalisation.
6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data concerning you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we hold no accounts or profiles, most requests concern data processed by our advertising partners — the links in section 3 let you exercise those choices directly. For anything else, contact us and we will help.
7. Children
The Site is a general-audience sports site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
