Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia will play Juan Tello and Maxi Arce in the final of the Kuwait Major on Saturday, 31 October. In the women's final, Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay face Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero, who won the longest match of the week.
Coello and Tapia: one win from five in a row
The International Padel Federation called it the craziest Major of 2026: of the leading men's pairs, only the top seeds are left. Coello and Tapia beat Jairo Bautista and Lucas Bergamini 6-1 6-4 in the quarter-finals and then ended the run of Tino Libaak and Gonza Alfonso 6-2 6-2 in the semi-finals, according to our draw data. They are chasing a fifth consecutive title after Paris, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf and Milan. Libaak and Alfonso had knocked out Lebrón and Augsburger and then Di Nenno and Navarro 7-6 6-1 on their way to the last four.
Tello and Arce take their chance
The bottom half, left open by the withdrawal of Galán and Chingotto, went to the ninth seeds. Tello and Arce beat Marc Sintes and Coquito Zamora 6-4 6-2 in the quarter-finals, ending the unseeded pair's run, then beat Edu Alonso and Aimar Goñi 6-4 6-3. Alonso and Goñi had knocked out fourth seeds Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 6-1 6-2.
Sánchez and Ustero turn round a lost match
The women's semi-final between Sánchez/Ustero and Paula Josemaría/Bea González lasted 3 hours and 43 minutes. Josemaría and González won the first set 6-4 and led 3-0 with two breaks in the second, targeting Ustero, Padel Magazine reported. Sánchez then took over, Ustero found her smash again, and the third seeds won the second set in a tie-break. The third set followed the same pattern: breaks traded, and another tie-break, won 7-4 by Sánchez and Ustero. The Paris and Milan champions, who beat the same opponents in the Milan final, now play another Major final, their third according to Padel Magazine.
Brea and Triay, the top seeds, also needed three sets: they beat Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo 6-4 2-6 7-6(3). For the second tournament in a row, the women's semi-finals featured the top four seeds, the FIP noted.
