Key points
  • As of 16 October 2026, Premier Padel and the FIP have not published the 2027 calendar.
  • From 2027 the FIP ranking counts 21 results instead of 22, with more points in the early rounds of Majors, P1s and P2s.
  • Spain's promoter Esedos Padel says Spain will keep six Premier Padel events in 2027 and expects five from 2028.
  • A fifth Major in Madrid has been suggested by the Spanish promoter but has not been announced.

As of 16 October 2026, Premier Padel and the International Padel Federation (FIP) have not yet published the 2027 tour calendar, so no dates, venues or new Majors for next season are official. Some parts of 2027 are confirmed, however: a reformed ranking system announced in June, and a commitment from the Spanish promoter to keep six Premier Padel events in Spain.

No official 2027 calendar yet

Premier Padel's news pages and the FIP have not released a 2027 schedule. For comparison, the 2026 Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour calendar was presented in December 2025: 26 tournaments in 18 countries, with four Majors in Doha, Rome, Paris and Acapulco. The 2026 season itself ends with the Mexico Major and the Finals in Barcelona in December. A similar timetable would mean the 2027 calendar is unveiled at the end of this year, but neither body has given a date.

What is confirmed: a new ranking structure

On 10 June 2026, during the Italy Major in Rome, Premier Padel and the FIP presented a five-point package for 2027. The FIP ranking will count a player's best 21 results instead of 22. Opening rounds of Major, P1 and P2 events will give more ranking points. Men's qualifying draws will be brought into line with the women's. Top players will also face new limits on entering CUPRA FIP Tour events: the world's top four cannot play FIP Gold events, players ranked 5 to 16 need a wildcard, and higher-ranked players are excluded from Silver and Bronze events.

Players' representative Maxi Sanchez said fewer counting events "will help us manage our schedules better", according to Premier Padel. Padel Magazine noted that the measures were agreed in principle in Rome but still needed final approval in their details. A smaller ranking count does not necessarily mean fewer events: it changes how many results count, not how many tournaments are staged.

Spain keeps six events in 2027

The clearest information about next year's venues comes from Spain. In an interview with EFE published on 3 September, during the Madrid P1, Joan Cuscó, president of promoter Esedos Padel, said Spain would keep the same number of Premier Padel tournaments in 2027. "For 2027, we will maintain the number of tournaments," he said, adding that the calendar was not closed but would be about 90% similar to 2026.

In 2026 Spain hosts P1 events in Madrid, Málaga and Valencia, P2 events in Valladolid and Gijón, and the season Finals in Barcelona. Cuscó expects Spain to lose one event from 2028 as the tour expands into new markets. He named Australia as an example. Esedos has a contract to stage Premier Padel events in Spain until 2032.

A fifth Major? Not announced

Cuscó also told EFE he was "absolutely convinced" Madrid would be chosen if Premier Padel ever adds a fifth Major to Qatar, Rome, Paris and Mexico. That is his opinion, not a tour decision: Premier Padel has announced no fifth Major and no Madrid upgrade. In August, Padel Magazine also found a "Major II" prize-money level in the women's 2026 regulations that has not appeared on any calendar. Its existence has fuelled talk of a new tier, but nothing has been confirmed for 2027.

What to watch

Until the calendar is published, the event list, dates, any new host cities and the question of a fifth Major all remain open. Fans can follow the current standings in our padel rankings, which will be counted under the 21-result rule from next season.
