Sources and fact-checking
- News articles are written in our own words by the TiebreakNews desk and synthesise at least two, and usually three or more, independent sources.
- Results, scores and rankings are checked against official sources (ATP, WTA, Premier Padel, FIP) or against our own data pages.
- Facts we cannot confirm in two sources or in an official source are left out.
- Every article lists its sources, with links, at the end of the page.
Quotes
Quotes are short, placed in quotation marks and attributed to the person who said them and to the outlet that reported them. We never invent or alter quotes.
Dates and updates
Each article shows its publication date and, when it has been changed after publication, the date of the update. Publication dates are never back-dated. Articles also carry the date of the event they cover.
Corrections
If you spot an error, write to contact@tiebreaknews.com. We check every report, correct factual errors as quickly as possible and update the article's modification date. Significant corrections are mentioned in the article.
Photos and videos
- Photos are used under free licences (Wikimedia Commons, Unsplash, Pexels) and credited with author and licence, or are official Premier Padel press photos used for editorial coverage and credited to Premier Padel and the photographer.
- We never use agency photos or images from the articles we cite, and we never add text or graphics on top of official photos.
- Videos are embedded only from official channels (ATP Tour, WTA, Tennis TV, Premier Padel, tournaments).
Independence, advertising and affiliate links
- TiebreakNews is independent and not affiliated with any tour, federation, tournament, player or brand. We do not publish paid articles.
- The site is funded by advertising (Google AdSense), shown separately from editorial content.
- Some guides and racket pages contain shop links; partner links are clearly disclosed and never decide our ratings or recommendations.
- We do not cover betting and do not speculate about players' health or private lives.
Data pages
Rankings, calendars, draws and racket data are generated automatically from official or licensed sources and refreshed regularly; each page states when it was last updated.
