German tennis star Alexander Zverev says it is all good between him and Stefanos Tsitsipas and he congratulated the Greek on a victory following their Rome clash.
On Saturday, Zverev made a good start to the Rome semifinal but failed to sustain the same level of play after the first set as Tsitsipas recovered to win 4-6 6-3 6-3.
Last summer at the Cincinnati Masters, Zverev was irate after Tsitsipas took a 10-minute toilet break.
Zverev went on a rant and he claimed Tsitsipas left the court with his mobile phone so he could receive coaching from his father.
A month after the incident, the two represented Team Europe at the Laver Cup and there they spent some time together and since then it has been all good between them.
“I think my relationship with Tsitsipas has been quite good over the last two-three years, since we played the Laver Cup. I don’t have any problems with him. I congratulated him today. I wished him the best of luck for tomorrow’s final,” Zverev said after the match, per Lorenzo Ercoli.

Zverev: No similarities between my and Tsitsipas’ game
After the Rome meeting, Zverev was asked if he and Tsitsipas have something in common when it comes to their game style.
Zverev then explained why he thinks he and Tsitsipas are two completely different players.
“No, the styles of play are very different. I think he has a lot more spin on the shots. A one-handed backhand. Uses the slice a little bit more. I think I’m the more hard-hitting guy. He has more variety to his game. I don’t think our games are that common, to be honest.”

Following the latest match, Tsitsipas owns an 8-4 head-to-head versus Zverev.
Tsitsipas and Zverev have meet three times this clay season.
Tsitsipas beat Zverev in the Monte Carlo semifinal, while Zverev beat Tsitsipas in the Madrid semifinal last week.
Tsitsipas made amends for last week’s loss by beating Zverev in the Rome semifinal.
