Defending Champion Alcaraz Pulls Out of Barcelona with Forearm Injury

The Spaniard is still not healthy and plans to start his clay season in Madrid.
Carlos Alcaraz will not defend his title in Barcelona.

The 20-year-old has pulled out of the ATP 500 event due to the same right arm injury that forced him out of Monte-Carlo. The World No.3 is planning on making his clay-court debut in Madrid, which commences on April 24.

Alcaraz has been dealing with an injury to his right forearm (pronator teres).

The Spaniard is 14-5 on the season with a title at Indian Wells.
