Novak Djokovic in tears lovingly hugs his children in a tender family moment

In a moment of total emotion and joy, Novak Djokovic celebrated winning his 4th US Open title with a loving hug to his daughter Tara, present in the 24-time Grand Slam champion’s box along with his wife Jelena and son Stefan.

A tender and touching family moment, which showed all of Nole’s immense emotion in having reached such an important milestone in front of the dearest people in her life.

Not only: after the victory, Djokovic made a special dedication to the late NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. Nole wore a light blue t-shirt, featuring a yellow print featuring the tennis legend and the NBA icon, with the celebratory writing: “Mamba Forever.” We remember Bryan wore the number 24 shirt when he played, the same number of Slams won by Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic won the US Open 2023

Djokovic won a hard-fought match, despite the score. The Serbian found the key to victory in a physical match, played on first serves and long rallies from the baseline.

In the first set Nole was practically perfect, while the tie break of the second set was decisive when Medvedev was one step away from taking the score to 1 set all, a scenario that could have changed the match. But Djokovic withstood a physical decline and dominated his opponent again in the third set.

For Djokovic it is a revenge, after in 2021 Medvedev himself had prevented him from winning all 4 Grand Slam tournaments in a single year, defeating him on the fast pitch of the Arthur Ashe stadium. The Serbian tennis player also returned to playing tournaments in the United States this year after last year’s exclusion for not having been vaccinated against Covid.
