Medvedev’s opponent ruins spectator’s drink with “lucky” shot

The match between Jiri Lehecka and Daniil Medvedev produced a hilarious moment that made the whole stadium laugh. A ball coming from Jiri Lehecka landed in a spectator’s expensive drink.

Here are some of the comments to the moment from various tennis fans:

“I called a guy who knows a guyā€¦that wouldā€™ve been a +7500 prop”
“Did he still have to return the ball?”
“Thatā€™s a good but expensive way to get to keep a ball at Wimbledon!”
“Poor guy, in Wimbledon the beer must cost like 30ā‚¬”

Another spectator was hit in the head

Besides the incident covered in this article, another Wimbledon spectator was hit in the head by a smash coming from a court the spectator wasn’t even spectating.

Nevertheless, in terms of drinks, beer gets a much bigger spotlight at the US Open. Last year, Pegula drank a Heineken during a press conference.Ā After a journalist told Pegula that she likes Heineken, Pegula gave two reasons why she picked up the can.ā€œThanks! Iā€™m trying to pee for doping, soā€¦ā€ was the first reason.ā€œAlthough it does help ease the loss,ā€ Pegula added.

Also, the US Open had many of its spectators pass the camera vibe check. Every year there seems to be someone who chugs their beer.
