Wozniacki made her Olympic debut in 2008, when she was beaten in the Beijing Olympics round-of-16 by Elena Dementieva. Four years later, Wozniacki reached the London Olympics quarterfinal before losing to Serena Williams. In 2016, Wozniacki lost to Petra Kvitova in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics second round. āOver these past three years away from the game I got to make up for lost time with my family, I became a mother and now have two beautiful children I am so grateful for. Iām coming back to play and I canāt wait!ā Wozniacki announced last Thursday.
Wozniacki’s comeback will start in Montreal and the Dane will also play at the US Open.
