Boris Becker makes big prediction about Novak Djokovic following Serb’s historic win

Boris Becker shared a special message to Novak Djokovic following the Serb’s 23rd Grand Slam win as the German tennis legend is tipping the world No 1 to win more Majors before retiring.

On Sunday, 36-year-old Djokovic ousted Casper Ruud in the French Open final to win a record 23rd Grand Slam and surpass Rafael Nadal on the all-time Slam record list.

Now, Djokovic’s focus switches on the grass season, where he will try to tie Roger Federer’s record of eight Wimbledon titles.

Djokovic has won the opening two Grand Slams of the 2023 season and Becker is tipping the Serb to also win it all at Wimbledon.

“Novak Djokovic, you did it. And how you did it – with confidence, skill and style. Biggest congrats for your record breaking 23rd Grand Slam title Roland Garros. What an outstanding achievement, considering where you come from. I am proud to have been part of your team winning six of those 23 together. Moreover, I am thrilled about what’s coming next for you: With Wimbledon calling you’re surely not done yet. Keep it up and see you soon, ‘Schatzi,'” Becker wrote on Instagram.

Becker backs Djokovic to achieve more Grand Slam success

After writing tennis history once again, Djokovic warned his competition that he is feeling good and aiming more Grand Slam success.

“Of course [the] journey is still not over. I feel, you know, if I’m winning slams, why even think about, you know, ending the career that already has been going on for 20 years. So I still feel motivated, I still feel inspired to play the best tennis on these tournaments the most, you know, Grand Slams. Those are the ones that count I guess the most in history of our sport,” Djokovic said.

During the grass season, Djokovic plans to only compete at Wimbledon.

It remains to be seen if Djokovic can defend his Wimbledon title this summer.
