Rafael Nadal’s fans might have to wait a little longer to see the Spanish star back on the court. The 20-time Grand Slam champion is reportedly “unlikely” to participate in the upcoming Barcelona Open, and his appearance at the Madrid Masters is also in doubt.
Nadal, who is 36 years old, has been out of action since suffering a hip injury at the Australian Open. He was hoping to make his comeback this week at the Monte Carlo Masters, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
Withdrawing from Monte Carlo put the focus on the Barcelona Open as Nadal’s new target. However, according to Cadena SEN, Nadal is determined to return only when he feels ready to do so.
Despite the disappointment of not seeing Nadal on the court, fans will undoubtedly appreciate the star’s dedication to his health and recovery. Nadal’s fans can rest assured that he will be back stronger and ready to take on his opponents when he does return to the game.
Cadena SER reports that Alcaraz is ready for Barcelona and Nadal is unlikely to play in Barcelona and doubful for Madrid. https://t.co/dQVfEnIqyW
