Bianca Andreescu reveals her mindset in career, life

2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu says having a positive spirit and knowing your purpose and goals has been the key to her success.

Andreescu, 21, is one of the most talented and promising players from her generation as she is already a Grand Slam and has been ranked at No. 4 in the world.

“How did you start to push yourself to be where you’re at today?” a fan asked Andreescu.

Andreescu replied: “I do my best to have a growth mindset in every situation. Always look for the good in things. It’s important to have intention in life and every time I remember my goals/ purpose it drives me to wake up in the morning.”

Andreescu set to kick off her season in Stuttgart

After skipping the first three and a half months of the season, Andreescu accepted a wildcard into Stuttgart.

Andreescu, ranked at No. 120 in the world, was drawn to meet Jule Niemeier in the Stuttgart first round.

In December, Andreescu opened about her dark period and announced her withdrawal from the Australian Open.

“A lot of days, I did not feel like myself, especially while I was training and/or playing matches. I felt like I was carrying the world on my shoulders. I could not detach myself from everything that was going on and off the court; was feeling the collective sadness and turmoil around and it took its toll on me,” Andreescu explained in a Twitter post.

Andreescu took some time for herself and in February she attended the Wisdom and Well-being program in Costa Rica.

“Wow. My time @bluespiritcostarica during the Wisdom and Well-being Program was unforgettable!! I went there to rediscover myself and have some alone time but it turned out to be so much more… I met many incredible people, experienced new things, the speakers/ teachers down there taught me so much, and most importantly I had lots of fun. Can’t wait to come back!”

It is good to see Andreescu doing well and returning to tennis.

Andreescu is a player who is definitely capable of achieving major things in the game.
