Serena Williams and husband celebrate 5-year wedding anniversary

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on Wednesday. Ohanian gifted Serena multiple boxes of roses, among which one was heart-shaped. Serena shared the gift on her Instagram Stories.

Shilstone congratulated the pair

Mackie Shilstone, Serena’s former long-time fitness trainer who also officiated the wedding, congratulated the pair for their achievement.

“Congratulations Serena and Alexis on your wedding anniversary. It was 5 years ago that I had the honor and privilege to be the Officiant of such a memorable event. I wish you both continued love, admiration, and prosperity in the future. And, with your lovely and talented daughter Olympia. Serena’s secrets for a happy marriage

Serena Williams talked with E News about how she keeps connected with her husband.

“It takes a lot of time and effort. He travels a lot. It’s about having great communication and understanding. And above all, it’s all about [being] loving. That’s the most important quality anytime, and it covers everything. We FaceTime a lot. We have prayer time at night. That’s really special. We always do that, we try not to miss it a lot,” Serena told E News during the interview.
