Serena Williams trolls her coach/advisor from this past US Open

Serena Williams and Rennae Stubbs engaged in a funny Twitter exchange.

Stubbs, a former six-time Grand Slam doubles champion and former doubles No 1, was explaining on Twitter how bad techniques usually get exposed in key moments of the match.

ā€œI am speaking from experience. My forehand was my weaker side and as a player, you know your own weaknesses. Under pressure bad technique breaks down. But there are ways to get them stronger and more reliable under pressure. Practice makes perfect, the off season must be dedicated to that,ā€ Stubbs wrote on Twitter.

Williams, who worked with Stubbs during her final US Open, jokingly let Stubbs know that she was aware what her weakness was.

ā€œWe always served to it (laughing emoji),” Williams wrote in response to Stubbs’ tweet.

Stubbs jokingly threatens Williams

Then, Stubbs jokingly threatened to expose Williams’ weaknesses: ā€œOmg slim shady!!! Should I tell my secrets about you now?ā€

During Williams’ final US Open, Stubbs worked with the American.

In the final tournament of her career, Williams made the third round before losing to Ajla Tomljanovic.

After the US Open, Stubbs explained through what Serena and Venus Williams had to go through before becoming all-time greats.

“What they went through early on in their careers was pretty traumatic in some ways. You know, they weren’t accepted by the tennis establishment, there was a lot of pushback on them. There was basic racism in tennis. What they fought through probably made them great champions because they had to fight for everything. They had to fight for acceptance and they had to fight for respect. They probably felt like they had to win so much just to be respected and accepted. And they were. In the end, you know, they have gotten the love that they deserve because they’re both quality people,” Stubbs said on Off The Ball podcast.
