Serena Williams has nothing but love for her sister Venus but she joked her sister is a problem after she kept her up until 5 am over the weekend.Â
This past weekend, the Williams sisters attended the wedding of David Beckham’s son, Brooklyn.Â
After arriving home from the ceremony, Serena took to Instagram, where she expressed how tired she was.Â
The 23-time Grand Slam champion planned to go to sleep straight away but six hours later posted another Instagram Story, in which she revealed she was on a phone call with her sister Venus.Â
“My sister is a problem. She had me out all hours of the night. And then, we talk on the phone until 5 AM. I’m like, you know, Olympia [Williams’ daughter] is gonna wake me up at 7 AM. No matter what time I go to bed. Thanks, Venus. You’re going down,” Serena said, per Tennis Up To Date.

In a recent interview, Serena opened on the impact Venus has had on her life.Â
“It makes me feel good,” Serena told fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar. “I never started out to be a role model. You were always my role model. I did everything that you did, and even down to just how I behaved off the court and how I behaved in life and decisions that I’ve made. I really always tell people, ‘Don’t always look to the athletes or the stars to have a role model. Your role model could be right in your house.”
During the same interview, Venus asked Serena whether she ever reflected on her achievements.Â
“Honestly, I don’t think about it,” Serena said. “We just live our lives day by day and don’t really think about what we’ve done. I don’t think about what I’ve done. I think that’s when you get really satisfied and complacent. I think there’s going to be a time where I step back and think about it more.”
