Two sets of the highest quality: this was the summary of the semifinal between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev. At the Nur-Sultan Open, the challenge between the two former world number ones and between Slam champions was a battle of high quality and above all of high intensity.
The first set was won by the Russian tennis player, who was good at making less mistakes; while the second set came up to the decisive tiebreak.

In the tiebreak of the second set, it was Novak Djokovic who triumphed, after some gifts from his opponent, who in any case had defended himself until the last moment of that second part of the match.
At the moment of the change of field, however, the Russian displaces everyone: he goes to the Belgrade tennis player, announcing his retirement. No premise gave any indication of any physical problem, which was later confirmed in the interview by Djokovic himself.
