WTA world number 3’s boyfriend is Brent Lepistu, a midfielder playing for Levadia Tallinn, a football (soccer) team from Estonia. In 2021, Levadia won the national championship and played in UEFA Champions League, where they lost in the first round against Dundalk.

Krejcikova denied Kontaveit in her home country

Although she had her boyfriend near her, Anett Kontaveit was unable to overcome Barbora Krejcikova in the final of the Tallinn Open. The Czech, seeded third won against the top-seeded, home favourite 6-2, 6-3 in 81 minutes to claim the trophy. Krejcikova won 78% of her first-serve points to Kontaveit’s 68%. She won 68% of her second-serve points and won 71% points on return on Kontaveit’s second serve. Krejcikova dropped her serve twice but converted five of the nine break points that came her way on the Estonian’s serve.

Krejcikova, who has had a challenging season and was forced to miss some time earlier this year, has now won her first title of the season. “Really proud how I was able to bring my best performance for the final,” Krejcikova said after her triumph, per the WTA website.

“I was expecting that Anett is going to play fast and she would try to put me under pressure from the first point. So I was just trying to play my game, and just trying to eliminate that. I just really wanted to go out there and play my best tennis and just try to enjoy the final, because it took me a lot of fight and energy to get there.”
