Serena Williams has just turned 41 and in mid-September she said goodbye to tennis, at the US Open, in front of her crowd, after an immense career, made of great victories and some tears, especially in the last seasons.
Now that her professional sports career is over (or at least so it seems) the 23-time Slam champion she will be able to devote herself to all the investments she has made in her career and beyond. She could now fully devote herself to fashion too.
With Anna Wintour, director of Vogue, Serena was in the front row at New York Fashion Week, especially for PP Pink by Valentino, next to Anne Hathaway. During the same fashion week, Serena was on the runway at the Vogue World show and behind the scenes as the director of the presentation of her collection, Serena. Today her brand ranges from casualwear to evening dresses, for all sizes. Serena isĀ also signs of her own collection of ethical jewels.
Serena Williams’ future is in fashion
On the court we saw Serena wearing the most daring outfits, always staying on the spot, always current and never banal. Will this be her future now?
Together with her sister Venus, Serena made tennis history. She hasĀ received important awards and tried to find a balance between sporting life and life as a mother. After her last match at the US Open a few weeks ago, Serena Williams has closed a chapter in her story and is ready to write another.
Serena Williams has walked several red carpets in recent years. In 2022, in addition to New York Fashion Week, she was also a protagonist at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, with a silver minidress covered with micro sequins, with an asymmetrical neckline by Versace.
At the Academy Awards she instead proposed a peach pink dress with pleated texture, pointed shoulder straps and a bodice enlivened by floral applications by Gucci. So, fashion is the way for the former US tennis star!
