The 2024 Paris Olympics are already knocking on the door, including that of professional tennis. Only last year the Tokyo Summer Games were played, which due to the Covid19 pandemic have been postponed by one year compared to 2020, the original programming year.

Therefore, the two events have been separated for only three years: for this reason, the first announcements on Paris 2024 have already arrived. One of the first official events concerns precisely tennis. The social account of the 2024 Olympic Games has established the date and place in which the tennis tournaments will be held.

The five tennis tournaments will take place over ten days, from July 27 to August 4: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. The surface, on the other hand, could not fail to be the most famous in the history of tennis: the Roland Garros facility will host the Paris Olympic Games.

So, it’s time for the clay for the Olympics, after the hard courts in Tokyo and, even before, in Rio de Janeiro.

The expected protagonists: from Nadal to Djokovic

In Paris, many tennis players will want the much sought-after Olympic gold medal.

The two winners of the last Japanese edition will not be missing: Alexander Zverev for the men, Belinda Bencic for the women. Doubts about the presence, however, of the absolute host of Roland Garros, namely Rafael Nadal: the physical condition may not assist him until the middle of 2024.

Who has already promised to be there, despite his age, is Novak Djokovic. The former world number one has always wanted the Olympic medal for his Serbia, but his dream always slips from his hands.

It could be also Jannik Sinner’s turn,: Sinner, who has chosen to miss the Tokyo Olympics to get back in shape for the season on North American hardcourt. As well as Matteo Berrettini, who had to forfeit the Japanese Olympic Games due to injury.
