Matteo Berrettini on his first attempt after the injury that kept him stationary for about three months, returns to play in an ATP final. The Italian player got the better of two very hard-fought sets against Oscar Otte in the semifinal in Stuttgart which ended with a score of 7-6, 7-6 for the blue.
During the match, the Italian became the protagonist of a super point. Today Berrettini, who will go in search of the second title in Stuttgart, will have to contend with Sir Andy Murray who defeated Nick Kyrgios in the semifinal.
Two precedents between them: the first won by the British in Beijing and the second won in the semifinals by the Roman at Queen’s, a tournament which then saw him triumph against Norrie.
