Rafael Nadal ON CRUTCHES: Wimbledon at high risk?

Updates on the physical conditions of the Spanish champion Rafael Nadal arrived, and they are not good. Just a few days ago he won the fourteenth title in Paris and the twenty-second Grand Slam title, now there are several concerns around the Spaniard.

In the last few hours, the video of the Majorcan champion’s return to Spain has been around the web. In the video, Rafa got out of the car on crutches and didn’t look in the best condition.

A complicated situation for Rafa, whose conditions seem to worsen: in this way it seems very difficult for the tennis player to be able to participate in the next Grand Slam tournament, scheduled at Wimbledon.

In recent months Nadal has been struggling several times with major foot problems, a situation that forced him to sit still for several months.

Nadal’s words

On Sunday, after Rafa’s victory in Paris, the tennis player clarified his delicate situation in the conference: “I play with an infiltration on the nerve and the foot is asleep, so I went on. I better not say how many infiltrations I have done in these two weeks. Ruud? He’s a great guy, I know him and his family and I’m very happy with his results. It is an honor to have hosted him in my academy.”

Here is the video posted by ESPN on the return of the Spaniard to his city:

Rafa Nadal after the victory

The Spaniard said: “I consider myself a fairly normal guy and I think that if I can, one day someone else can do it too. It’s true, I think it’s easier to break the 22 Slam record than that. of the 14 Roland Garros, but it is something very difficult but not impossible.”

Rafa has been fighting for years with two other legends of this sport such as Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. The two are now behind in 20 Grand Slams and with this year’s victories Rafa has gained a major advantage.

On this eternal battle Nadal replied: “Of course, I would like to be the player with the most Grand Slam titles in history, this is competition and I am competitive. But I am not obsessed and I have not changed my mind about anything for this fight. Honestly it doesn’t bother me that much. I will not be less happy if Djokovic wins 23 Grand Slam titles.”
