Andy Murray Switches to Yonex Racquets

The Scot was with Head for his whole career. Not this week at the Bordeaux Challenger.
Same Andy Murray, different racquet? Returning to the court this week at the Bordeaux Challenger, the three-time major champion is sporting some new gear.

Murrayā€™s got a Yonex racquet ā€“ and some Yonex swag to boot.

Per journalist Simon Cambers, the switch has been confirmed by the 36-year-oldā€™s team.

Murray, who will turn 37 on May 15, is the No.7 seed in a stacked challenger draw in Bordeaux this week. He will test out his new racquet against a qualifier in round one. Arthur Fils is the top seed in Bordeaux.

Now ranked 77, former World No.1 Murray had played with Head for his entire career ā€“ until now.

Murray, who has been out since injuring his ankle at Miami, is set to play the ATP 250 event in Geneva next week.
