Serena Williams was inducted into the 2024 class of the National Women’s Hall of Fame, and for this milestone, she was honored by Billie Jean King through an X post. The legendary American tennis player congratulated the 2023 Fashion Icon Serena Williams for being included among the 10 women who will be inducted, next year, into this special honor. King wroteĀ on X: “Congratulations to @Serenawilliams, Ruby Bridges and all the other 2024 recruits in the National Women’s Hall of Fame!” The awards ceremony will take place in March 2024 in Seneca Falls, New York. Founded in 1973, the National Women’s Hall of Fame celebrates American women who have distinguished themselves in various activities. The induction ceremony will take place in March 2024, during Women’s History Month, in Seneca Falls, New York.

The National Women’s Hall of Fame honors Serena: she made a lot for American women
Jennifer Gabriel, the Hall of Fame’s chief executive, talked about the women who were chosen for the 2024 class, at the NWHF:Ā “The 2024 class of inductees are scientists, activists, performers, and athletes who are theĀ changemakersĀ of today and inspiration for the women of tomorrow.” In a statement, the board of the National Women’s Hall of Fame explained:Ā “Serena Williams is a highly regarded tennis champion, entrepreneur, investor, fashion designer, and executive producer. Serena established her venture capital firm Serena Ventures in 2017, which focuses on investing in women and founders of color and has since built a portfolio of over 20 early-stage companies.” I would like to close the article with a personal thought: Serena got this milestone too late. She did a lot for American women since the first years of her tennis career, and not only on the court, but for her social battles and for to fight for women empowerment through her entire career.
