Emma Raducanu visited a primary school in London and read to kids from a book that preaches the importance of developing financial skills. Raducanu, who is still recovering from the three surgeries she underwent in May, visited Earlsfield Primary School in southwest London. During her visit, Raducanu read from “Fairer Tales” – a book that features reimagined fairy tales and urges young girls to try to make their own money and create their own success instead of waiting for a Prince Charming. The book was written by Emma Dodds and published in 2018.

Raducanu working on returning
Meanwhile, Raducanu has confirmed she is returning to tennis in 2024. In May, Raducanu underwent surgeries on both wrists and also surgically addressed her right ankle injury. “Next season I’ll be back. This season all the slams were finished so it was difficult to watch them go by but I was trying to stay in my lane as much as possible and keep focused on my recovery,” Raducanu told BBC London. Although Raducanu hasn’t played in a while, people are still talking about her. When asked about doubters and critics still having something to stay even during her injury break, Raducanu delivered a blunt statement. “The fact they are still talking about me even though I’m not at these events is just a compliment. Someone told me ‘worry when they are not talking about you,'” Raducanu said. Raducanu, 20, also revealed her “ultimate dream” is to win Wimbledon one day. At Wimbledon, there hasn’t been a British female champion since Virginia Wade won The Championships in 1977. “Wimbledon is the dream and always has been growing up. It’s still the ultimate dream to win Wimbledon,” Raducanu said. In her Wimbledon debut two years ago, Raducanu made the round-of-16. Last year, Raducanu suffered a second-round loss at Wimbledon. This year, Raducanu didn’t compete at Wimbledon.
