Nike came up with a witty slogan after Carlos Alcaraz managed to win this year’s Wimbledon edition on Sunday.
“The Alcaraz Era is upon us. An age in which age doesnāt matter and impossible shots are served with a smile. Congrats Carlos Alcaraz, youngest world no.1, on major no.2. Your time has only just begun,” Nike wrote on Twitter.

Here is how tennis fans reacted to the new slogan:
“This is genius copy-writing.”
“Nike, how do you do this, where do you get these sayings. Carlitos Alcaraz was a good investment.”
“Brilliant marketing by Nike, and great to see this young superstar getting the spotlight he deserves. Not only is his talent great for the game of tennis, but he always seems to be enjoying himself which makes it enjoyable to watch.”
Nike gave up at Marketa Vondrousova
Although Nike hit a homerun with Carlos Alcaraz, the clothing firm missed out when it comes to Marketa Vondrousova, the women’s Wimbledon winner.
In her post-match press conference, 24-year-old Vondrousova was asked if it was true that Nike decided to end their collaboration.”Yeah, the contract finished last year. Yeah, it was after four years, so they decided to stop.
Yeah, we’ll see what happens now. I just said it’s going to take time. We’ll see what’s going to happen. Now this is happening. So we’ll see, yeah,”Ā Vondrousova said.
