Jabeur hugs David Beckham: “I’m glad my husband let me” (VIDEO)

Jabeur kept jealousy at bay by admitting that she got her husband’s approval before hugging David Beckham at Wimbledon. Jabeur’s husband is Karim Kamoun, a professional fencer who’s also her fitness coach.

“I’m playing like David Beckham right now. It’s been a pleasure meeting him. He’s such a nice guy and very polite. I’m glad my husband let me just give him a hug,” said Jabeur during her post-match interview after the victory against
Zhuoxuan Bai.

During the interview, Jabeur also said she’d love to try skiing and an English cup of tea.

“I met Lindsey Vonn here. Since we ski a lot in Tunisia, I’d love to try skiing. I know it’s very dangerous. I’ve never skied in my life. Hopefully, Lindsey will teach me a bit.”

Asked whether she got to try an English cup of tea, Jabeur denied that she did. “I am not a tea fan, but I would love to have an English cup of tea.”
