Carlos Alcaraz gets another milestone by winning Wimbledon

Thanks to the extraordinary victory in the Wimbledon final, Carlos Alcaraz is the first qualified for the ATP Finals in Turin. Surely it was close but now with 6675 points, Carlos has exceeded the limit of 6420 points and obtained the pass for the last round of the season which this year too will be held in the Piedmontese capital.

It is missing less and less even for Novak Djokovic, now second in this ranking. It must be reiterated that it is now only a formality (by regulation the Slam winner just needs to be in the top 20 in the ATP Race ranking, but Nole is one step away from the number of points needed to achieve this result).

In third place is Daniil Medvedev, the third closest to this result and then there is a real abyss compared to all the others. About 2000 points below are Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jannik Sinner on an equal footing, both stuck at 3175 points: they still need time to try to get the math but there is certainly excellent news from the Italian number one.

With the semifinal in the London Slam, Jannik has overtaken Holger Rune and Andrey Rublev and reached Tsitsipas, but in addition to this, above all, he is over 1000 points ahead of Taylor Fritz, ninth in this ranking and therefore very distant in terms of Race.

No change of positions in this ranking and only Andrey Rublev and Casper Ruud take the field this week. A classification without particular jolts in the top 20 positions, but the American Christopher Eubanks also breaks into the Race, a tennis player who has earned nine places in the classification.

On the other hand, Griekspoor and Etcheverry are down, Lorenzo Musetti remains far behind, stuck in 24th place and also losing one position compared to this classification. For him, Turin’s chances are linked to the second half of the season but big companies are needed in this case.

Positively behind also Andy Murray and Marton Fucsovics who gain several positions and the same goes for the Russian Roman Safiullin, even in the Top 40 and now with 56 positions gained in this year’s Race.

The Russian is just ahead of the French Fils and Humbert, as well as obviously the Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime.
