Wimbledon shares the best rallies of the last ten years: fatigue, endurance, glory

The grass court season has already reached its climax, and this means that there are only a few days left for the third Grand Slam tournament: Wimbledon.

In the past decade, we have seen some incredible rallies. Tests of strength and endurance, which have an even more special value, on an unpredictable surface like grass.

Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and the others: here are the best shots of the last decade shared by Wimbledon on his YouTube Page:

Wimbledon 2023

In just under four days, Wimbledon, the third slam of the season, will kick off after the Australian Open and Roland Garros. The oldest tournament in the world, based at the All England Tennis Club, is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating events, if not the most fascinating, scheduled in the busy tennis calendar.

Last weekend all the preparation tournaments for the very important English event ended. From Halle to Queen’s, and previously Stuttgart and Hertogenbosch, they have served to familiarize you with grass, a surface on which tennis is played which is diametrically opposed to concrete and clay, and which holds many surprises every year, with the fall of many big names and the rise of less high-sounding names.

This week the qualifiers have begun to establish the last accesses to the main draw of the London Slam.

If the singles, for obvious reasons of earnings, visibility and dosage of energy, is a much more widespread practice by the most important players during the course of the season, in the slams the doubles often sees the presence of many top players, who decide to compete in the two weeks in both disciplines, taking advantage of the rest day they are granted between one match and another.

This is the case of this edition which will see the presence of several stars, with some notable surprises. Two top ten have in fact decided to enroll in doubles. Stefanos Tsitsipas, will compete alongside his brother Petros.

The Greek, whose name has been associated more often in recent weeks due to his relationship with Paula Badosa, will try to give a turn to a period that tennis-speaking, is not giving him great satisfaction.

Casper Ruud, on the other hand, will try to better digest the pass on grass, a surface on which he has openly admitted he doesn’t like to play, teaming up with William Blumberg. Furthermore, Nick Kyrgios will compete alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis, should he manage to recover from his physical problems, while Alejandro Davidovich Fokina surprised by signing with Adrian Mannarino.
