Italian tennis player Matteo Berrettini, currently ranked world No. 22, celebrated his 27th birthday with a win over Argentine player Francisco Cerundolo at the Monte Carlo Masters. Berrettini defeated Cerundolo in a tough match, with a final score of 5-7, 7-6, 6-4.
In a recent interview with Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Berrettini opened up about his personal life and discussed his relationship with girlfriend Melissa Satta, a showgirl and the ex-wife of soccer star Kevin Prince Boateng. Berrettini revealed that he finds it difficult to deal with the constant speculation surrounding their relationship and engagement rumors.
The tennis player also spoke about his recent on-court struggles and the symbolism behind the sun he drew on the camera during his last match. “Lately I tend to see everything in the dark, I have a particular need for light, in every sense,” he said.
Berrettini is currently preparing for his next match and is working closely with coach Vincenzo Santopadre to analyze his opponents. Despite the constant attention surrounding his personal life, Berrettini remains focused on his game and determined to continue his rise in the tennis world.
