Ons Jabeur Reaches Charleston Open Final for Second Consecutive Year

Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur has once again reached the final of the Charleston Open, defeating Daria Kasatkina 7-5, 7-5 in their semi-final clash on Saturday. Jabeur, who was the second seed, and third-seeded Kasatkina faced off in a tight match that lasted an hour and 47 minutes.

Kasatkina raced ahead with a double-break lead in the first set, but Jabeur managed to turn the match around with an impressive comeback. She won five games in a row from 2-5 down to go up in the match. Kasatkina once again took the lead with a break in the second set, but Jabeur fought back to win the match in the 12th game.

Speaking after the match, Jabeur said that the rain delay allowed her to speak with her coach and make some adjustments to her game, which ultimately helped her secure the win.

Jabeur, who also reached the final of the Charleston Open last year, will now face the winner of the semi-final clash between top seed Jessica Pegula and fourth seed Belinda Bencic, which was postponed to Sunday due to rain.

Bencic, who is aiming to retain her Charleston Open crown this year, led Pegula 7-5 in the opening set before the match was delayed. The final will also be played on Sunday following the completion of the second semi-final.
