British tennis player Katie Boulter congratulated her boyfriend Alex de Minaur on winning Acapulco and told him his next task should be getting a haircut.
De Minaur, 24, recovered from a set down to beat Tommy Paul 3-6 6-4 6-1 in the Acapulco final.
De Minaur, who now has six ATP titles in his collection, clinched the biggest title of his career in Acapulco since it was his first ATP 500 title.
“Some people deserve it all, some people is this guy @alexdeminaur. Next stop ~> a haircut,” Boulter tweeted following de Minaur’s Acapulco triumph.

Boulter believes de Minaur deserved his Acapulco success
After winning Acapulco, de Minaur said he was just happy seeing his hard work and efforts paying off.
“It feels great, it feels amazing. I know the hard work that’s put in to be here and it’s good to see the results. It’s not always that you win the tournament and you get to finish a week unbeaten, so I’ll definitely cherish this going into Indian Wells and Miami,” de Minaur said after the final, per the ATP website.
De Minaur, a former world No 15, started the week in Acapulco ranked at No 22 in the world.
Following his Acapulco victory, de Minaur improved to No 18 in the world.
For the first time since last May – when he was ranked at No 20 – de Minaur is back into the top-20 in the world.
“Like everything in my career, it’s been step by step. I just want to keep pushing, keep getting the most out of myself. I know I might not play unbelievable tennis every day but I know I’m going to fight to the end. I’ve got a whole lot of heart in this little body of mine and I enjoy competing, so I’m very happy with it,” de Minaur said.
De Minaur’s next goal will be to continue his strong form at the Indian Wells Masters.
