Caroline Wozniacki took her four-month-old baby boy James to a tennis court and jokingly remarked that one of them is “very serious about their tennis.”
Wozniacki, 32, and her husband David Lee welcomed their first child in June 2021.
On October 27th, Wozniacki became a mother for the second time after giving birth to a baby boy James.
“One of us is very serious about their tennis!” Wozniacki captured her Instagram post.
Wozniacki asked about a return to pro tennis
Wozniacki, the 2018 Australian Open champion, retired from pro tennis after the 2020 Australian Open.
At the start of this year’s Australian Open, Wozniacki was asked whether there were any plans on her side to return to pro tennis.
“Do you have the itch to come back to the tour?” a fan asked Wozniacki in January.
Wozniacki responded to the question: “I don’t miss the hard work it takes to be at the top of the game. But I love the sport and I miss the competitiveness at times.”
After the 2020 Australian Open, Wozniacki was planning to have a farewell in Kopenhagen and meet Serena Williams in an exhibition match.
Unfortunately, the pandemic ruined Wozniacki’s plans.
Two years later, Wozniacki had her special night in Kopenhagen.
Last April, Wozniacki defeated Angelique Kerber 7-5 6-4 in an exhibition match in Kopenhagen.
When Wozniacki was just 27 years old, she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.
After her farewell in Kopenhagen, Wozniacki expressed her gratitude for being able to live out her dreams despite the rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis.
āPlaying in my final tennis match last week was nostalgic. Iām incredibly grateful and fortunate enough to live out my dreams despite living with RA. If you want to learn more about my story, I encourage you to visit AdvantageHers.com,” Wozniacki said after the Kopenhagen exhibition.
Wozniacki is now very family-orientated and she is enjoying watching tennis from her couch.
