Donna Vekic had a good laugh reading how Caroline Wozniacki shaded Jelena Ostapenko during her commentary of the Ostapenko and Cori Gauff Australian Open match.
During her match commentary for ESPN, Wozniacki revealed that she never again wanted to practice with Ostapenko after her first experience of practicing with the Latvian.
“Let’s just say I practiced with her once and chose not to do so again,” Wozniacki said during the commentary.
Reacting to the Wozniacki comments, Vekic wrote: “Hahahahah i love you @CaroWozniacki.”

Who is Vekic’s best friend on the WTA Tour?
Vekic is seemingly not very close with Ostapenko but it is a well-known thing that she and Belinda Bencic are Tour friends.
Last year, Vekic and Bencic did a video that later went viral.
In their video, Vekic and Bencic hilariously explained the difference on the WTA and ATP Tours.
“How did it occur to us (laughing)? To be honest, I do not even remember, but it was spontaneous. We are close friends. I never look at the draws, all I know is that we are in the same half. Every time after the match, while I am riding a bike, my coach tells me the next opponent, and I just pray that it is not here. I hope that we cannot meet until the semifinals, if we keep winning. You know what, I am really happy about having several friends on the Tour, which is rare,” Vekic told Sasa Ozmo of Tennis Majors.
Also, Vekic noted that she believes it’s a myth that “all female players are enemies.”
“Not much. I think it is a myth that female tennis players are all enemies, and men are all friends. On the ATP tour too there isā¦ I would not say hostility, but rivalries for sure. Personally, I do not have an issue with anybody on the WTA tour. OK, maybe with a couple of them, but we wonāt go into that now (laughing),” Vekic revealed.
