PICTURE: Iga Swiatek’s cat joined Pole in watching Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal match

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek was joined by her cat in watching Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s doubles match at the Laver Cup.

On Friday, Federer teamed up with Nadal for his final match.

Swiatek, who was watching the match from the comfort of her home, wasn’t the only interested from the Swiatek house in watching Federer’s match

“This is serious,” Swiatek captioned her post.

In the end, Federer and Nadal suffered a three-set defeat to Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe.

After the match was over, both Federer and Nadal got very emotional and broke down in tears.

Swiatek had a chance to play mixed doubles with Nadal

Swiatek, 21, grew up watching and idolizing Nadal.

The week before this year’s US Open, the USTA organized a charity event for Ukraine.

The event featured a match in which Swiatek and Nadal shared the same side of the court.

For Swiatek, it was a dream come true as she went from idolizing Nadal to being his doubles partner.

“It was pretty amazing,” Swiatek told Vogue. “We already played singles a couple of years ago at Roland Garros, which was a birthday gift from my team actually. [Laughs.] But it was pretty amazing being on the same side of the court playing doubles, and especially for such a great causeā€”being able to use our voices together to help people is pretty amazing. It was kind of a moment where I stopped for a little bit and thought about what a long journey it has been to get here, and getting to do that is really a dream come true. Rafa is such a great person on and off the court and he has inspired me so much, especially this season when I watched his final at the Australian Open. It really gave me extra motivation and even more grit on court when I really needed that, so Iā€™m grateful to have been able to spend some time around Rafa too.”
