Stefanos Tsitsipas reveals interesting target he has set for himself

World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas revealed to Reem Abulleil that he has set an interesting target as each month he has a targeted number of points he wants to collect.

Tsitsipas, 23, has established himself as a top-10 player and he has been one of the best players on the ATP Tour for the past few years.

Being consistent seems to be very high on Tsitsipas’ wish list and that’s why he wants to each month collect a targeted number of points.

Tsitsipas has been an ATP Finals participant in each of the past three seasons.

Per the ATP site, Tsitsipas is currently third on the Race to Turin list with 2,890 points.

Tsitsipas: I aim to get 1,000 points each month

“I’m focusing on Rome right now. Roland Garros is one tournament of the year that I get to play. I don’t really following the rankings, I follow the Race rankings, for me that’s the most important,” Tsitsipas told Abulleil, as quoted on Eurosport. “As long as I can produce and create points that can put me up in the race to Turin, I’m happy with that. I really want to pull the trigger on many occasions and most of my matches and go for it, whether that happens at Roland Garros or Wimbledon or the US Open, I just want to score as many points, score as many points as possible. My goal is to get 1,000 to 1,200 points per month; would be great. The rest is just my tennis; I need to focus on that.”

Tsitsipas has won only one title this season but he has been playing pretty consistent tennis throughout the year as he has been making deep runs at the majority of the events he has played this year.

Tsitsipas will likely make his fourth ATP Finals appearance this season.
