Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams sounded extremely excited during her first Lacoste photoshoot as she is happy to be joining forces with a company that has been connected with the game of tennis for so long.
In a recent YouTube post, former world No. 1 Williams shared parts of her Lacoste photoshoot.
“Here I’m behind the scenes of the very first Lacoste shoot and very first part of my partnership with Lacoste,” Williams said. “I’m so so happy because I love tennis, and I love the heritage Lacoste has in tennis. Also I love the intersection of sport and fashion that Lacoste has really pioneered.”
Williams thrilled with how the photoshoot went
“Today was like a real fashion shoot in the sense that the photographer really told me what to do…this one was real fashion in the sense that the photographer knew exactly what he wanted, and it was cool to just trust him on that and do what he told me,” she said.
Also, Williams revealed those were the body photos she has ever taken.
“I have to say I really feel like this was the best body of photos that I’ve ever taken in my life, and it was only like two hours of shooting … I am so excited about this partnership,” Williams added.
Meanwhile, Williams hasn’t played since late August.
Last month, Williams held a Q&A sesssion.
To no one’s surprise, one of the questions she received was about her potential comeback.
“So, when I come back on tour because yes, you asked when am I coming back,” Williams said. “I will let you know but I will be back and I will be playing, I think you’re going to see a very grateful person who’s just ready to compete and enjoy the game.”
Williams was granted a wildcard for this year’s Australian Open but she skipped the event.
